DWS-120:
The DWS-120 utilizes 120VAC power from an external source
to power a 35kw (120,000 BTU/hr) heater and water pump. The system
circulates engine coolant through the locomotive in order to keep key systems warm.
DWS-APU:
The DWS-APU features a 9.5 HP diesel engine to provide 72VDC to power
a 35kw (120,000 BTU/hr) heater, water pump, oil pump (if equiped), and
also charges the locomotive's batteries. The system circulates coolant
through the locomotive in order to keep key systems warm. If equiped with
the oil pump option, oil may be circulated through the engine to keep it warm.
